Regional offices will work collaboratively with professional learning providers to identify priority groups.
Priority groups will include schools/kura/clusters:
You might need guidance:
Your school or kura can start identifying the most urgent and pressing learning needs for your students, teachers and leaders, and the evidence which supports the need.
Tools to help with this can be found in the Self-review tools section of NZ Curriculum Online. Your analysis will be the basis for requesting professional learning and development (PLD) from your regional team.
Register your interest by contacting the senior adviser at your regional Ministry office.
The Blended e-Learning professional learning and development (BeL PLD) team from the Te Toi Tupu consortium work in partnership with the Ministry of Education to mentor schools in the National BeL PLD programme.
From 2012, there is no further funding for ICT PD. Those schools and clusters that are working in the existing ICT PD programme will complete their contract at the end of 2012. ICT PD professional development is transitioning to the Regional Programme (refer above) that combines online and face-to-face support. For further information about the Ministry’s 2012 model for professional learning, refer to this Ed Gazette article.
Join these groups to participate in discussions with other teachers/educators about the content here, or that is relevant for you.
